APSA 2017

9/4/2017

I attended APSA for the first time this year in San Francisco. I presented papers on North Carolina precincts, and had another paper with colleagues from Binghamton on gerrymandering in Massachusetts and Ohio. The temperatures set a record of 106 degrees. While I had a break from attending panels, I managed to see a few sites in San Francisco.

The Golden Gate Bridge. This was before it got so darn hot.

Alacatraz Island. Note: I did not see Clint Eastwood, Nicholas Cage or Sean Connery while there.

I had to visit the house from Full House while in San Francisco. The red doors were changed because so many people were knocking on it.
Picture
Muir Woods before my flight that I managed to miss because I spent too much time getting to Muir Woods. But it was beautiful there.
